At its 14th Ministerial Conference (<strong>MC14<\/strong>) in March 2026, its members decided to continue discussions within the General Council. Four tracks were chosen.<\/p>\n<h3>The key points<\/h3>\n<p>On 22 June 2026, Ambassador <strong>Nagai Katsuro<\/strong>, of the Permanent Mission of Japan in Geneva, was appointed facilitator for the \u2018Decision-Making\u2019 track. The Japanese mission announced it on 30 October 2026.<\/p>\n<p>He will lead reform discussions in this area. Facilitators act in a <strong>personal capacity<\/strong> to help the General Council Chair move the work forward.<\/p>\n<p>The other tracks are entrusted to the ambassadors of <strong>Malaysia<\/strong> (foundational issues), Botswana (development) and Peru (level playing field).
