Background
The Sustainability League is a student competition devoted to sustainability. It was founded by young graduates of the University of Geneva (UNIGE). Students from several countries present concrete projects addressing environmental and social problems.
The key points
The final of these sustainability olympiads is being held at Campus Biotech in Geneva, according to the Tribune de Genève of 6 November 2026. Finalists from around the world are defending their ideas there.
The projects include turning textile waste into resources and “smart” pipes. The project Girls4Girls Pad Service, led by students from Copenhagen, won the silver medal. It aims to provide a low-cost, water-saving washing service for reusable sanitary pads, intended for schools in Kenya.
The organisers put the focus on learning, the spirit of innovation and networking among students.
